How long do you have to wait after applying for us citizenship?

How long do you have to wait after applying for us citizenship? I just applied for USA citizenship(2 weeks ago) and I found yesterday they cash the check that I send to them. I wonder when they call us for the test, Fingerprint, and other thing and how long the whole process will take, by the way I live in Illinoise.

2. It takes 3-4 months to get the interview and take the civics test (and not 6 weeks). The approval is on the spot, right after the interview but waiting for the oath ceremony letter can add additional weeks. Some offices conduct oath ceremony right after the interview but most don't. All in all, it can take 4-6 months for the entire process. The target processing time for all N-400 applications is 6 months. Most often, entire process takes shorter than that.
