Is it possible to have dual citizenship and have a permanent residency in another country?
I own citizenship in Canada and USA. Is it possible to gain a permanent residency in another country? For example, what if I want to work in Europe? Do I have to give up one of my citizenships?

- Yes you can be resident of any country as long as you want without giving your citizenship.
- Indeed yes. My wife has triple citizenships. But that is because of the three involved. Back to you - yes, as long as you do not request citizenship in another country (Swiss would be acceptable however) and just request permanent residency. No 'give-ups' are necessary.
- if you lived in another country in Europe? citizenship is not offered, you have to ask for, so? if eventually you qualified for it and received it after qualifying? depending on which country? (some do not allow dual citizenship) then, no, you would not have to give up the ones you have? still depending which country,
- As long as ALL 3 countries ALLOW dual citizenship then yes you can apply for PR. BUT some european countries do NOT allow dual so you may be in trouble. USA and Canada dual is allowed. check the below link and see which European countries allow dual and which do not. German and Austria do not. France does.
