I work in retail management as an assistant manager. can you tell me if my earnings are right please?

I work in a food store that is taking approx £120,000 once you minus the non-profit making extras. My salary is £22,500. Can you tell me if this is about right, too high, or too low? I'd be interested to see how it compares with others. many thanks in advance.

  1. Sale positions are never paid that well but I'd say your earnings are pretty fair !!
  2. too be on 22pa is good for a food shop, i used work as`a head chef & only got 18 pa , stop worring
  3. It's paid rather well seeing as its not really critical is it?
  4. 120,00 takings per week? Depend what area your in and city/town I used to work for 3 and I know I was lower paid than my collegues who worked for the same company cause they were in a different Band as they were in city and I was in a town.
  5. It sounds very reasonable to me - the store's profit does not have anything to do with your salary.
  6. Typically profit margins are poor in the food industry. Salaries tend to be lower....but work is steady - no one stops grocery shopping. Sorry can't comment on your specific situation but it does not look bad from here. Why not look at starting a part-time business. 7. id say its pretty good. i work for sainsburys and my salary is only just that. our store take 835k a week
  8. I think you are overpaid well.
  9. Considering the retail industry is notorious for low wages I think you are on a very good rate especially when you consider the type of awful money nurses, firemen & ambulance people earn in jobs that save lives.
  10. I think it is about avergae maybe a bit better than the norm.
