Is there a "Left Luggage" facility at Newark Liberty International Airport? I have to connect thru EWR on July 18th. I fly in at around 8:30-9:00am but my connection does not take off till around 8:00pm that evening. Instead wasting the day in the airport, I was hoping to head into NYC and to meet friends for lunch, do some shopping etc. The issue is that I do not want to haul my luggage into the city with me and then have to cart it around all day. Is there a "Left Luggage" facility at EWR where I can safely deposit my stuff, spend the day in the city and then pick it up before getting on my connecting flight in the evening? I have tried Google for this info but have not had any luck. Any insights would be appreciated. Thanks!

Can you give me a list of shuttle services from Philadelphia to Newark Liberty International (EWR)? I'm looking for shuttle services from Philadelphia to Newark airport. I know about Dave's Best Limo and Super Trans PA. I wanted to know some more as ratings for these two services don't appear to be convincing. I'm not looking for Amtrak, Greyhound, or public transportation. I live in Center City, so a shared ride like Lady Liberty which goes to PHL, would be helpful.

Should I become a Pilot? so here is my story. I'm 20 years old and I work as a baggage clerk at Newark Liberty International Airport. Everyday I get to see airplanes take-off and land. I find myself staring at them from time to time. I always had love for aviation. I play flight simulator on my computer all the time. but now I'm thinking about becoming a pilot. But there are alot of things holding me back. If I want to fly for american airlines i need a 4 year college degree. I just got my ged, and I failed the college placement test for my community college. So now I'm taking remedial classes. I am planning to become a radiologic tech. It's only a 2 year program, and I can expect to earn a pretty good salary. I told myself a thousdand times, forget about becoming a pilot! It's expensive, long hours away from home, dangerous, and the pay sucks when you are just starting out! But I always seem to find myself searching for flight schools. so what should I do?
Have you ever unwittingly caused a major scare? The security scare that shut Newark airport for hours and delayed thousands of passengers was caused by a man who slipped into a secure area to give a woman one last goodbye kiss, a newspaper reported on Thursday. The breach at Newark Liberty International Airport, one of three major airports serving the New York City area, rattled security officials and the airline industry because it came so soon after the attempted Christmas Day bombing of a Detroit-bound airliner. A videotape of the Newark incident shows the man embracing a woman at the C-1 security checkpoint before she passes through passenger screening, the Star-Ledger newspaper of New Jersey said, citing unnamed security officials who have viewed the tape. The man, who was not a passenger, walks past a spot where a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officer should have been stationed to move closer to the woman, the paper said. The woman holds up a rope meant to keep unscreened people out of the secure area so that the man can passes underneath, and they walk hand-in-hand toward the boarding area before disappearing from view, the paper reported. One of the planes hijacked in the Sept. 11 attacks of 2001 took off from Newark airport. That flight crashed into a Pennsylvania field. http://in.news.yahoo.com/137/20100107/756/twl-goodbye-kiss-provoked-newark-airport.html Edit: Aren't you supposed to let someone else do your bacon??! How do you lose a $4Million item? How do you absent mindedly leave behind something worth $4Mill? I cut & pasted this off Yahoo's home page. I think I'd cry in relief myself, as well. A Grammy-nominated violinist has been reunited with a $4 million violin he left in the back of a cab. Philippe Quint exited a minivan cab at New York City's Battery Park early Monday, leaving the 1723 Antonio Stradivari "Ex-Keisewetter" inside. The violin spent the remainder of the night on the seat of the cab, which owner Mohamed Khalil parked on a Newark street. By the morning, he was still unaware of what he was carrying. By then, the frantic Quint was calling the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, and Newark's Taxi Commission, which put the word out that the violin was missing. On Monday afternoon, Khalil checked his taxi while at Newark Liberty International Airport and discovered the violin case with the instrument inside. Quint soon arrived, dropped to his knees and shed tears of joy.
Why is Obama having his TSA put 8 year old boy scouts on its "no fly lists" but gives a pass to muslims? “Meet Mikey Hicks,” said Najlah Feanny Hicks, introducing her 8-year-old son, a New Jersey Cub Scout and frequent traveler who has seldom boarded a plane without a hassle because he shares the name of a suspicious person. “It’s not a myth.” Michael Winston Hicks’s mother initially sensed trouble when he was a baby and she could not get a seat for him on their flight to Florida at an airport kiosk; airline officials explained that his name “was on the list,” she recalled. The first time he was patted down, at Newark Liberty International Airport, Mikey was 2. He cried. After years of long delays and waits for supervisors at every airport ticket counter, this year’s vacation to the Bahamas badly shook up the family. Mikey was frisked on the way there, then more aggressively on the way home. “Up your arms, down your arms, up your crotch — someone is patting your 8-year-old down like he’s a criminal,” Mrs. Hicks recounted. “A terrorist can blow his underwear up and they don’t catch him. But my 8-year-old can’t walk through security without being frisked.” It is true that Mikey is not on the federal government’s “no-fly” list, which includes about 2,500 people, less than 10 percent of them from the United States. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/01/14/nyregion/14watchlist.html?hp
Here's an intersting story...? AT-4 Launcher Found On Jersey City Lawn (CBS) JERSEY CITY A Jersey City woman made a shocking discovery on her lawn this morning when she noticed a military rocket launcher lying in the grass. Niranjana Besai was leaving her house, located at 88 Nelson Street, to go to work just after 8 this morning when she spotted the launcher on her front lawn. "I read it and it [said] 'missile,'" Besai told CBS 2 HD. "There was little 'missile' [writing] on it." She immediately called police. Sources tell CBS 2 HD that the device is an AT-4 missile launcher that is used to fire against tanks and buildings. The device was first approved by the U.S. Army in 1985 and questions are being raised as to whether the device was stolen from a branch of the military. Its very powerful warheads can penetrate through well over a foot of armor. What's more troubling, sources add, is that Besai's house is located along flight path for Newark Liberty International Airport. Besai's neighbor, Joe Quinn, saw her pointing at the device from her front porch. When he walked over to see what the fuss was about, he was just as shocked to see weapon, said to be about three or four feet long and weighing about 15 pounds. "She's pointing that there's something in the front," he told CBS 2 HD. "I said, 'Let me come down and take a look,' and I saw a little soldier on it and I said, 'Whoa, that's a missile launcher or something!'" Quinn says he originally thought the launcher was just a pipe, but after noticing the picture of the soldier -- which he described as a soldier kneeling, holding the launcher -- he realized it looked similar to a missile launcher he'd seen on television. "I got scared myself," he says. "It looked like a bazooka, and right away you think what does somebody want with something like that?" Jersey City Police removed the launcher, and the incident is now being investigated by the Joint Terrorism Task Force and the FBI. Sources say Besai is not involved in the investigation as a suspect. "I don't think it was hers, they're nice people," Quinn said. Jersey City Police could not confirm whether the device was actually operable, however an AT-4 can apparently only be used once. If it had been fired previously, than it would not be operable any longer. Stay with wcbstv.com and CBS 2 HD for more on this developing story. ************************* Were they found it was along a landing path. That's the most intresting part in my opinion.
The T.S.A. Has an 8 year old on their "Watch List",How could anyone think they will keep terrorist off flights? Michael Winston Hicks’s mother initially sensed trouble when he was a baby and she could not get a seat for him on their flight to Florida at an airport kiosk; airline officials explained that his name “was on the list,” she recalled. The first time he was patted down, at Newark Liberty International Airport, Mikey was 2. He cried. Doesn't this article seem to damage the effectiveness of a watch list? http://www.nytimes.com/2010/01/14/nyregion/14watchlist.html?no_interstitial
News article, Obama's campaign funded by money stolen from lenders? Is that ironic? What are your thoughts? http://www.reuters.com/article/politicsNews/idUSTRE58H5Z820090918?feedType=RSS&feedName=politicsNews "HSBC sues accused Democratic fund-raiser in New York NEW YORK (Reuters) - A fund-raiser for Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and other Democrats who was charged last month with defrauding Citigroup Inc is being sued by HSBC for deceiving it into lending him $100 million. The lawsuit filed in New York State Supreme Court in early September accused private equity firm head Hassan Nemazee, 59, of engaging in an elaborate scheme to make HSBC Bank USA believe that its loan was secured by collateral in the form of U.S. Treasury Notes when it was not. Nemazee, who sits on the board of the Iranian American Political Action Committee, typically donates more than $100,000 annually to Democratic political candidates. He is listed as one of the top "bundlers" of contributions to Obama's 2008 presidential campaign, according to OpenSecrets, org, a website run by the Center for Responsive Politics research group. Nemazee was charged on August 25 of one count of bank fraud for seeking a $74 million loan from Citigroup's banking unit under false pretenses. He was arrested at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey on August 23 as he was checking in for a flight to Italy, according to court papers. U.S. prosecutors accused him on September 2 of defrauding other banks. In a letter to a magistrate judge in Manhattan federal court, prosecutors said he repaid the Citibank loan by defrauding another bank, but did not identify it. The bank was HSBC, according to the civil lawsuit. The bank sued Nemazee for breach of contract and fraud. Nemazee's lawyers could not immediately be reached for comment. The HSBC lawsuit, dated September 2, said that "to accomplish the fraud, Nemazee represented to HSBC that he had $89 million in Treasury Notes, with a current market value of more than $125 million, in a specified brokerage firm account; submitted a supposed agreement from the brokerage firm with forged signatures, false addresses, and false telephone numbers; used a mail drop; and submitted fabricated brokerage statements." HSBC said that on August 24, "Nemazee drew $75 million from HSBC on his fraudulently obtained credit facility, and used the funds to pay off his Citibank loan." In court papers, lawyers said the government had frozen two of Nemazee's accounts at JPMorgan Chase & Co. They said JPMorgan Chase froze his securities account at Brean Murray, Carret & Co and Bank of America Corp froze his funds and those of his children. If convicted, Nemazee faces up to 30 years in prison and a fine that could reach $1 million or more on the one criminal charge. The cases are HSBC Bank USA NA v Hassan Nemazee 602735/2009 in New York State Supreme Court in Manhattan and U.S. v. Nemazee, 09-mj-1927 in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York (Manhattan)." What are your thoughts, opinions, or crituques on the article?
Drive from Philly to Newark Time? I am taking someone from Philadelphia to Newark Liberty International, and I was wondering what time I would need to leave on a Monday to get to the airport by 9:20 am.
Confused about NJ/MTA public transit-- will this route work? I am trying to get from Newark Liberty Airport to JFK airport via public transportation, and everything I look at has this long, crazy trip where I transfer trains 5 times and end up spending $30. Then, I typed it into the New Jersey transit authority website, and here's what I got: Itinerary from NEWARK AIRPORT N TERMINAL to JOHN F. KENNEDY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT Itinerary Depart : NEWARK AIRPORT NORTH TERMINAL (07102)(On 107 NewYork - exact fare) 9:23 A.M. Arrive : PORT AUTHORITY BUS TERM [41ST & 8TH ENT] 9:43 A.M. Transfer Depart : 42 ST-PORT AUTH BUS TERM(On NYC subway A (www.mta.nyc.ny.us/nyct))) 9:53 A.M. Arrive : HOWARD BEACH-JFK AIRPORT 10:46 A.M. This seems way too good to be true? Will this work? and secondary question-- if it will work, it looks like I have 3 or 4 hours to kill... is there anything along this route I could hop off and do/see?

Do you think Goldman Sachs has the ability to manipulate the market and if it does - what could that mean? It seems like that do, by their own admission. What do you think? What could this mean? "Sergey Aleynikov, an ex-Goldman Sachs computer programmer, was arrested July 3 after arriving at Liberty International Airport in Newark, New Jersey, U.S. officials said. Aleynikov, 39, who has dual American and Russian citizenship, is charged in a criminal complaint with stealing the trading software. Teza Technologies LLC, a Chicago-based firm co-founded by a former Citadel Investment Group LLC trader, said it suspended Aleynikov, who started there on July 2. At a court appearance July 4 in Manhattan, Assistant U.S. Attorney Joseph Facciponti told a federal judge that Aleynikov’s alleged theft poses a risk to U.S. markets. Aleynikov transferred the code, which is worth millions of dollars, to a computer server in Germany, and others may have had access to it, Facciponti said, adding that New York-based Goldman Sachs may be harmed if the software is disseminated. “The bank has raised the possibility that there is a danger that somebody who knew how to use this program could use it to manipulate markets in unfair ways,” Facciponti said, according to a recording of the hearing made public today. “The copy in Germany is still out there, and we at this time do not know who else has access to it.” ‘Preposterous’ The prosecutor added, “Once it is out there, anybody will be able to use this, and their market share will be adversely affected.” " http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=ajIMch.ErnD4 Keep in mind that how the stock market is doing can affect people's votes in elections.
America, The right to profile? Shah Rukh Khan, Apparently an International Movie Star in India was taken aside at Newark's Liberty International Airport on Friday for Routine Questioning. Well, this sparked an uprising throughout India and atleast one American Flag was burned. I honestly dont get why these people are so full of hatred. Heres what it looks like to me, Foreigners can bomb our World Trade Center and Pentagon and crash a plane full of Americans into a field and Murder near 4,000 People and expect us not to question or profile potential threats at the airports. We operate Routine Questioning at the airport and it causes an uproar when a supposed Star is at the helm of questioning and the American Flag is Burnt. after 9/11/2001, America the right to profile? If your like me, you wont give these guys any business at the convenient stores this month and let them suffer for burning the American Flag. Im going to find an Ameircan store each time to buy my fuel and soft drink and overlook or just go in and go out of a foreign store and not let them earn my American Dollar. Many of you differ your opinion and thats what I want to hear, what is your opinion. Joe, thats some relevant insight, If I was to burn an Indian flag though, it would be India. I wouldnt burn it in the comfort of my Country, I'd burn it in the Country that the Flag Represents and the fact of the matter is, A Potential burning of the American flag in America is worthy of Death by whoever deems to do so. But lets move past the flag burning because it was cowardice on India's part. Rasputin and Asd make good and valid points to a degree, but Asd, Every American flying in there own Country has to go through security checks and special scanning that is almost like being stripped naked before boarding a plane and Americans did nothing to Our Own Country to deserve to suffer the security issues, but, we do. We do, so all people weither American or here on a visa, and even illegals can be in A Country of Promise that is Terror Free. Does that mean we lose some liberty for a short time due to Al Quaeda's Mass Murders? Yeah, religion isnt an issue, PEOPLE are.
Reassigned?! Why wasn't this TSA flunky fired? Do they not even have the authority to fire people when the prove useless on the job anymore??? excerpt... Transportation Security Administration officer has been reassigned after Sunday's security breach at Newark's Liberty International Airport, according to the TSA. http://www.cnn.com/2010/US/01/04/airport.breach.tsa/index.html TONALC: NO, you probably won't see me post it on this site...my point was that this crap happens all the time and no one ultimately pays for it...they are usually 're-assigned" to a different post somewhere so they can repeat their same stupid-ass mistake and cause more problems for us... my point was government efficiency, not to be fair with an idiotic government that needs to learn how to manage people.

Who’s looking at the BBC’s hit-piece on 9/11 sceptics tonight? The question the should be asking, is why haven't we seen the routine video surveillance tapes of the nineteen (19) hijackers alleged to have boarded the ill-fated 9/11 flights at Boston's Logan, Newark's Liberty and Washington's Dulles international airports? And, are we supposed to believe that video surveillance tapes from multiple cameras at multiple locations in three different "Category X" high security international airports just happened to fail to capture images of the nineteen (19) hijackers?
